OVG is the best! They helped us through the elderly stage of one of our dogs, foxtails in ears, knee surgeries and more. From front desk staff to techs, doctors and surgeons are fantastic!

Wow. What a wonderful Veterinary Group this is. I live in Sonora and had to bring my beloved Bear in on a Saturday because they were the only ones that would work him in. Everyone was so nice and thoughtful, from the front desk ladies, the vet tech and the Vet herself. Sadly our Bear had internal bleeding and with his age, there wasn't much we could do. Even though we were not established patients, they treated us with so much kindness and compassion. They let my daughter and I stay with him as long as we needed to, they arranged everything for us, so that we didn't have to go out to the lobby for any reason. Once we left, they led us quietly out the back door. In picking up his remains today, they out did my expectations again. Not only was he in a beautiful urn, we had a beautiful clay print of his paw, ink prints and certificates from the pet mortuary. In all my years of losing my beloved pets, this was by far the most thoughtful and kind Veterinarian Clinic. I would highly recommend them.

I took my dog, Clark Griswald, to have a tumor removed from his nose and a couple more lumps under his belly. I had gone to another vet first, and they told me he might look deformed after surgery. Thankfully, Oakdale was amazing. They took such great care of him, and he looks incredible. To top it all off, when I went to pay the bill, it ended up being about $400 less than the original quote — when does that ever happen? I would definitely recommend them and trust them with my animals again.

My dog has been a patient of OVG for a couple of years now and never once have I had one bad experience bringing her in! They are always so nice and welcoming and my dog is very vocal and has pretty bad anxiety at the vet and they do a phenomenal job with her each time! Today my tech was absolutely amazing and she went above and beyond! Her name is Cameron and she is an angel sent from above!!! Dr. Walsh was amazing as well and really helped my pup out with an emergency! They handle my dog with care every single time and they are beyond nice and so sweet and explain everything! This is hands down the best vet I've had for my animals. I edited this review because I had to bring my dog back in two days later due to still being sick, I was a wreck because my dog didnt get better, dr Ahluwalia had my girl on our second visit and recommended doing an exploratory surgery to see if there was an obstruction that cant be seen on the xrays, thank goodness she suggested that because she saved my dog, my dog had swallowed a squeaker from her toy and it got stuck and caused a blockage of her stomach and instines, luckily they found it removed it and were able to save her! They set everything up for me to transfer my dog to standiford vet hospital for monitoring in the ICU overnight since they are not available overnight themselves, they went above and beyond the entire time, keeping me informed, taking amazing care of my dog and making sure we were set in the process. I could not have done this without them and I am beyond blessed they are our vet! I will be in debt to them forever for saving my sweet fur baby! They are amazing and wonderful in every way!

Dr. Willis and the whole team were fantastic. They explained the whole process of performing a CT scan and took great care of my dog. The office was clean and the staff was very attentive. I would recommend Oakdale Vet Group to everyone.

Had the greatest experience there. Thought my other review pushed over. Everyone was incredibly nice. The girls and Dr Leslie loved my Rottie!! He loves them back…he was not stressed at all!! I wish I could have people at my business be that friendly!! I’m always so scared to change doctors for anything but not here. I couldn’t be any happier unless it was free! LOL. Thank you all so very much!! Stout is next!!

Dr. Ned is amazing. We got my dogs first TPLO when we lived nearby and had to travel for her second years later. I would not have done it any other way. Truly appreciative of the way they treat their patients like family. If any of my dogs ever had TPLO issues Id make the trip again.

We cannot express our gratitude enough to OVG and Dr. Ned specifically! The entire staff works together like a well oiled machine, and they truly love and care about their job, which is very obvious. Each team member from calling, to the front desk, to the vet techs are all SO knowledgeable and competent at their positions. But most importantly is the level of care that we have received for our 7yr old pup, Oso! She ruptured her CCL and needed immediate TPLO surgery. This can be a daunting and costly diagnosis to say the least! But they were beyond informative, upfront about the cost (which is extremely competitive for central California!), and have helped us throughout the entire process with great care and kindness. They emphasize that there is no silly questions, and every interaction with each staff member has been so positive! They embody what every care provider (human or furry) should exemplify. The facility itself is SO clean, comfortable, spacious and welcoming! There is plenty of parking and they even helped us get Oso inside using a two person team and stretcher when her second CCL ruptured! And rather than being condescending about the second leg, they were extremely understanding, empathetic, caring and kind and treated us like family. Oso's recovery is excelling and going as planned, thanks to Dr Ned and OVG Team! We are beyond grateful we found them and feel so lucky to have such a supportive Doctor for our fur baby, who to us, is our child : ) We even drive a roundtrip of 4 hours just to go to this office! They are the BEST of the best!!

We got right in no wait. Our dog was bit by a spider leg was huge. They made him feel comfortable as well as us. Explained completely what was going on. He loved the care and left wagging tail.

Today we had to put our 15 year old dog down. He was suffering from a serious issue and we delayed it as longer than we should have. Having him for 15 years, the decision to put him down was one of the most difficult. Because my kids are grown and we all wanted to be there we had to decide where to go. Between us we live in Tracy and the Sonora area, so we decided to meet halfway for both of us in Oakdale and find a place that could help us. How lucky we were that OVG could accommodate us. They were so caring and compassionate. They were understanding and made us feel comfortable. They didn’t price gouge considering we weren’t established patients. I really appreciate them so much. They helped make one of the most difficult days a little easier.
